Every repair performed at Instant Phone Repair is backed by our Limited Lifetime Warranty. We stand behind our work and the parts we use — if something we fixed fails due to a defect in parts or workmanship, we’ll make it right at no charge.

Note regarding Apple Independent Repair Provider repairs

Repairs performed through the Apple Independent Repair Provider (IRP) program — including eligible iPhone and MacBook repairs using genuine Apple parts and Apple-certified tools — are governed separately by Apple’s own warranty and repair terms. The Instant Phone Repair Limited Lifetime Warranty described on this page applies to all other repairs and services not covered under the Apple IRP program. What our warranty covers.

Our Limited Lifetime Warranty means that for as long as you own the repaired device, if the specific repair we performed fails due to a defect in parts or workmanship, we will repair or replace it at no additional cost to you.

If a part we installed fails due to a manufacturing defect — such as a screen that develops dead pixels, a battery that swells, or a charging port that stops working — we will replace it free of charge.

All Repair Types

The warranty applies to screen replacements, battery replacements, charging port repairs, back glass repairs, HDMI port repairs, and all other services performed by Instant Phone Repair technicians.

Exclusions

What our warranty does not cover.

Our warranty covers defects in parts and workmanship only. Damage that occurs after a repair due to external causes is not covered. Below are the specific exclusions.

Physical Damage After Repair

Any damage caused by drops, impacts, cracks, bending, or other physical accidents that occur after your device has been repaired and returned to you is not covered under this warranty.

Water or Liquid Damage After Repair

Exposure to water, liquids, or moisture after your repair has been completed is not covered. This includes devices that are submerged, splashed, or exposed to high humidity environments after leaving our shop.

Unauthorized Repairs or Modifications

If your device is opened, modified, or repaired by another party after Instant Phone Repair has serviced it, the warranty on our original repair is void. This includes repairs performed by other shops or attempts at self-repair.

Software & Data Issues

Software problems, operating system errors, app malfunctions, data loss, or any issue that is not directly related to the physical repair performed are not covered under this warranty.

Using your warranty is simple.

No forms, no mail-in, no hassle. If you believe your repair is covered under our Limited Lifetime Warranty, just bring your device back in to our Howell, MI location and we’ll take care of it.

Visit us at 1500 Lawson Road, Howell, MI 48843. No appointment is needed for a warranty inspection. Walk-ins are welcome during business hours.

We inspect the device

Our technician will inspect the device and determine whether the issue falls within the scope of the original repair and is covered under the warranty. We will explain our findings clearly before proceeding.

We fix it at no charge

If the issue is covered, we will repair or replace the defective part or correct the workmanship issue at no cost to you. Most warranty repairs are completed the same day.

The following terms govern the Instant Phone Repair Limited Lifetime Warranty. By having your device serviced at Instant Phone Repair, you agree to these terms.

1. Warranty Provider

This warranty is provided by Instant Phone Repair, located at 1500 Lawson Road, Howell, MI 48843, telephone (517) 518-4775. This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original customer who purchased the repair service.

2. Warranty Duration

The warranty is limited in that it covers only the specific repair or service performed. It is “lifetime” in that it remains in effect for as long as the original customer owns the repaired device, with no expiration date. The warranty applies only to the original repair performed and does not extend to subsequent repairs, unrelated issues, or new damage.

3. What Is Covered

  • Defects in the parts installed by Instant Phone Repair technicians, including manufacturing defects that cause the part to fail under normal use conditions.
  • Defects in workmanship, including improper installation, loose connections, or errors made during the repair process that cause the original issue to return.

4. What Is Not Covered

  • Physical damage, including cracks, breaks, bends, or any damage resulting from drops, impacts, or accidents occurring after the repair.
  • Liquid or water damage occurring after the repair has been completed and the device returned to the customer.
  • Damage or issues resulting from repairs, modifications, or tampering performed by any party other than Instant Phone Repair after the original repair.
  • Software issues, operating system failures, app errors, data loss, or any issue not directly related to the physical component repaired.
  • Normal wear and tear over time.
  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or use outside of the device manufacturer’s intended guidelines.
  • Repairs covered under the Apple Independent Repair Provider program, which are governed by Apple’s own warranty terms.

5. How to Make a Warranty Claim

To make a warranty claim, the customer must bring the device in person to Instant Phone Repair at 1500 Lawson Road, Howell, MI 48843. Instant Phone Repair will inspect the device and determine, at its sole discretion, whether the issue is covered under this warranty. If covered, Instant Phone Repair will repair or replace the defective component at no charge to the customer.

6. Limitation of Liability

This warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the specific component covered. Instant Phone Repair is not liable for any incidental, consequential, or indirect damages, including but not limited to data loss, loss of use, or loss of income, arising from a covered or uncovered warranty claim. The total liability of Instant Phone Repair under this warranty shall not exceed the original cost of the repair service.

7. Warranty Void Conditions

This warranty is void if the device is subsequently opened, modified, or repaired by any party other than Instant Phone Repair, or if the device sustains physical or liquid damage after the original repair.

8. Governing Law

This warranty is governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. Any disputes arising from this warranty shall be resolved in Livingston County, Michigan.
